To these Jews this meant desecrating their holy city. Any pictures of their God are strictly forbidden. All our symbols, related to our Roman Empire are considered plasphemous Therefore, they made a complaint to Emperor Tiberias. and they won the case!

They're a difficult people to rule. My job as governor here in Jerusalem is the most unpleasant one in the whole empire!

That's right. These Jewish people are the only ones in the whole empire who don't have to worship our Roman gods

They don't have to work on the Sabbath day and they're also permitted to refuse entry to their Temple to all non-Jewish people under the pretense of being a chosen people.

Oh, this Jerusalem temple! What a nightmare! When 200,000 pilgrims arrive for the Jewish feasts, one must be careful! Before you know it, they'll cause trouble and start a riot. We're watching their movements from the Citadel Antonia and can prevent any trouble in time.

Allright, captain. Watch this Jordan river situation closely and keep me informed... I'm going there myself I know the Jewish authorities are also wondering about this John the Baptist; they intend to make an investigation of their own....
